Vassaltis Assyrtiko 2021, Santorini

We are seeing more and more Greek wines of late, and honestly it's taken us a while to find one we love. This is a superb white wine from the beautiful island of Santorini. Despite there being more than 60 grape varieties on the island, Asýrtiko is known for being the stand out. It's likened to Sauvignon Blanc, but this particular example is less acidic, with a little more body and weight due to some time on the lees. We cannot get enough of this - please please try it and give Greek wines a whirl! Perfect with seafood.
